![]() ![]() It's only day 3 but having some serious regrets because I have no passion for this line of work and I feel like it's going to swallow me up □□ Now I joined a role where the old controller is training me and she's just bad mouthing management telling me how understaffed they are and that he's working 70- 80 hours a week consistently cleaning up not only accounting messes but IT and HR too. I am a 31 year old with 3 kids and loved the work life balance however without much controllership experience in my past I felt like I couldn't take the company to the next level. I left because I felt like I wasn't being challenged and I wasn't learning. Almost entirely cash basis and a very simple business. I did tax strategy, financial reporting, system building but everything I built and did was super basic. Having some serious regrets leaving a company that was incompetent at finance and allowed me to basically work as a glorified bookkeeper for $150K. We have never verified the credentials of any user.
